A while ago my Salon was having an Autism Awareness fundraiser and my stylist asked me to help out, so I dutifully gave a gift certificate for a session. I knew it was a wonderful cause and was happy to give but had no idea the gift would ultimately be mine. The woman who bid and won the sesion had a 3 yr old little boy who she shared upon booking her session, was autistic and so she really was not expecting much because eye contact and interaction were tough for him. All she asked was that I do the best I could. Upon arriving at the session and meeting this little boy, I knew he was just like my own children who loved toys and playing in the sand, and SpongeBob. So we played in the sand and ran in the water and let him play and have fun. When I emailed her the link to her photos, I was greeted with a response of complete joy. She was overwhelmed at the images of her little boy enjoying himself that day. She could not believe I was able to get such emotion from him and in so many different shots. I was so thrilled because above all else, this is my goal.
I am a 31 year old mother of 2 wonderful boys and one amazing husband. My love for photography spans over a decade. Within that time my greatest desire has been and continues to be, preserving my families most memorable moments for us to enjoy for years to come. I welcome the opportunity to create these same beautiful images to grace the walls of your home as well. I have a love for the beauty that surrounds us and therefore love to incorporate that into my portraits. I do work primarily with natural light. Whatever the setting may be the, goal is always the same, To capture the life and beauty of those in it. :-)
